Thrift Store Haul!

So, anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE thrift stores. I have been thrifting for around 7 years now and have found some really good bargains along the way. I could never understand why people would pay over $100 for a pair of jeans that may or may not fit them in a few weeks (or is that just me) when they can get the same pair (or another name brand pair) from a thrift store for less than $5!

I tend to go to thrift stores whenever I’m in town (usually once a week though if I’m honest – don’t judge). I love the fact that I can buy a huge bag of clothes for sometimes less than it would cost if I bought one item in a regular store.

Generally I just buy clothes, but lately I’ve branched out to handbags and shoes. I mean why not? Even if you only wear the shoes once and use the bag a handful of times, they’ve already paid for themselves. Plus I get bored of things super quick, so why waste a bunch of money on something that’s just going to sit in my closet!

So, this weeks thrift haul was pretty productive. My entire haul cost less than $18!!! I managed to get a pair of shoes, as well as two shirts, two dresses, a skirt and a knitted top. Bargain!

So, first up is a stripy pink and white shirt. I really like pink, so this was an easy purchase for me to make!

Pink and White Striped Shirt

First of all I paired it with one of my other purchases, a simple grey mini skirt. This would be a perfect outfit to wear to work. It’s simple yet stylish!

Next I paired it with a simple white t-shirt and white denim shorts. It was then tied loosely around my waist. The perfect outfit for the beach or just casually going shopping.

Finally, I paired it with another thrift find of mine, cream tailored pants. I wore it over a simple white t-shirt and this completed the look.

Little Black Dress

This little black dress is perfect! As you can see from the pictures you can dress it up with stylish jewelry, or wear it casual with a denim jacket. Both ways look amazing. The dress and both bags were thrift shop items.

Green & Grey Argyle Top

As soon as I saw this top I fell in love. The green color is so vibrant, and I knew I could pair it with lots of items that I already had in my closet.

First of all I paired it with my cream tailored pants. I love this look!

Next up is a more casual look. I teamed it with my white denim shorts and chunky jewelry.

Grey Skirt

You can never have too many plain items of clothing in your closet. This grey skirt is so simple, yet can also be stylish at the same time.

First of all I just added a simple white t-shirt. Very plain, very basic but works great. Then I added my other haul find, my pink stripy shirt. Simple but effective. Finally, I paired it with my plaid shirt. I really like this final look.

Stylish Black Dress

I almost didn’t pick this dress up, but decided at the last minute to try it on. It fit me like a glove, and I was very happy that I didn’t discard it. For the price, even if I only wear it once (which I know I won’t) then it’s paid for itself. I teamed it with different bags, which I also purchased from the thrift store, but on a different day!

Black and Cream Argyle Top

I am slightly (ok very) obsessed with this pattern. I now have about four different tops that also have this pattern and will probably buy more if I get the chance. I paired this top with a pair of black tailored pants in the first two pictures. The perfect outfit for the office or even just going shopping.

The second outfit is a lot more casual as I teamed it with a pair of black shorts – a lovely summer outfit!
