Drinking Tour in The Valley

Today was a good day! I went with a few friends to check out a couple of local drinking establishments in the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia.

Some of these I had been to before (such as Boston Pizza), but most of them I hadn’t, so this was a great way for me to try out new drinks.

Luckily for us, one of my friends parents offered to “chaffeur” us around so that we could all enjoy the booze! (Shout out to Maddi’s mom for stepping up).

First on the list was Lucketts Vineyard in Wolfville.

Whilst at Luckett’s, we did a tour of the wine making facility and the grounds (which were perfectly manicured and lush). They even had an old English phone box (throwback to my days of living in the UK). Unfortunately that was taped up due to Covid so we couldn’t go inside. They also had a store on site, which not only sold wine but lots of foods and cheeses etc that would “pair well” with their wine selections.

After we had sampled some “fine wines”, we decided to head on over to The Annapolis Cider Company in Wolfville.

This was one of my favorite places and the drinks and snacks were amazing! We did the tour and then followed that up with a cider tasting experience, which was great!

Fun Fact : The apples they use in their cider are not only grown and harvested in Wolfville, but the cider is actually made on-site too.

Finally, we ended up the evening at Boston Pizza in New Minas. We ate there and then finished off by having their “goldfish bowl” cocktails!
